Day 1 - Quick Practice
For a quick practice activity, sort the words in to the appropriate vowel sound columns.

Day 3 - Comics are Fun!
How creative are you? Create a short comic strip using your basic words and this template or one of the following websites.

Upload your comic strip to your weebly site. Don't forget to publish your site when done!

Day 4 - Long i Pairs
1. Find a partner
2. Each one of you create flash cards for the 12 basic words.
3. Mix Cards and stack them face down.
4. Each player draws 5 cards.
5. Player 1 spells the spelling pattern shown on one of his cards and asks for the matching card. For example: "Do you have the i-g-h word tight?"
6. If a match is made, Player 1 lays down both cards. If not, player 1 draws a new card from the stack.
7. Player 2 takes a turn.
8. The first player to "go out" wins!

Visit Wordle.com and create a picture using your spelling words. Print out the design and hang it on the spelling wall, then complete pg 119 in your practice book.
